- Troilus and E3 Lithium join Canada’s investment prospectus.
- Clearwater is one of North America’s major lithium resources.
- Summit investors collectively manage over $100trn.
Two major Canadian mining projects have been selected for inclusion in the inaugural Canada Investment Summit Prospectus, giving them access to a potentially large pool of international investors.
Troilus Mining Corporation’s Troilus gold and copper project and E3 Lithium’s Clearwater lithium project were selected for the investment prospectus ahead of the Canada Investment Summit in Toronto.
The summit is scheduled for September 14 and 15 and is being positioned as a major platform for attracting long-term international capital into strategic Canadian industries.
The summit was initiated by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney in partnership with Canada Pension Plan Investments and Public Sector Pension Investments.
It will bring together global investors, Canadian business leaders and public sector representatives as the Canadian government seeks to attract more private and institutional capital into key sectors of the economy.
Carney has said investors attending the summit collectively manage more than $100 trillion in assets, highlighting the scale of the financial audience expected at the event.
The inclusion of Troilus and E3 Lithium in the prospectus could therefore provide both companies with greater visibility among major investors looking for opportunities in Canada’s mining and critical minerals sectors.
Troilus seeks backing for gold and copper project
For Troilus Mining Corporation, the prospectus provides an opportunity to showcase its gold and copper project to international investors at an important stage of its development.
The project is expected to benefit from direct exposure to investors participating in the Toronto summit, with the prospectus providing information on selected investment opportunities and contact details for companies seeking further engagement.
The exposure could help Troilus build relationships with potential financial partners as it works to advance its project and secure the capital required for future development.
E3 Lithium’s Clearwater project has also been selected for the prospectus, giving the company an opportunity to promote one of North America’s largest lithium resource endowments.
Lithium has become increasingly important because of its role in batteries used in electric vehicles, energy storage systems and other technologies supporting the global energy transition.
E3’s inclusion in the summit comes as the company works to strengthen its strategy for developing Clearwater and preparing it for future construction and production.
The company has established a strategic advisory group to support its executive team on areas including capital allocation, project financing, strategic partnerships, offtake agreements and transaction execution.
E3’s advisory group includes Chris Slubicki, Mike Dixon and Kyle Rousay, who bring experience from the energy, clean technology, mining and legal sectors.
Slubicki is the founder and former president, CEO and director of oil producer Modern Resources.
Dixon founded clean technology company Synauta, while Rousay founded Cedar & Stone Advisory and previously served as general counsel for Rio Tinto’s copper business.
Their experience is expected to support E3 as it works through financing, technology scale-up and other decisions needed to move the Clearwater project closer to construction.
