Newcore Gold has appointed Ben Collins as Vice President, Projects, with his appointment taking effect on September 7, 2026.
Collins brings technical and project-related experience that the company expects will support the continued development and advancement of the Enchi Gold Project. His role will be particularly important as Newcore moves ahead with an 80,000-metre drilling programme designed to test new exploration targets and expand the project’s known mineral resources.
The appointment is part of the company’s broader strategy to strengthen its management team as exploration activities at Enchi increase.
Alongside Collins’ appointment, Newcore Gold has promoted Mal Karwowska to Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Investor Relations.
In the expanded role, Karwowska will focus on corporate development and engagement with investors and capital markets. Her experience in these areas is expected to help the company communicate its exploration progress and maintain investor support as it continues to develop Enchi.
The company believes combining Collins’ technical expertise with Karwowska’s capital markets experience will provide stronger leadership as it works towards unlocking the project’s potential.
A major focus for Newcore Gold is its planned 80,000-metre drilling programme at Enchi.
The programme is expected to concentrate on exploration, discovery and resource expansion. Through the drilling campaign, the company intends to investigate prospective areas, identify additional gold mineralisation and potentially increase the project’s overall resource base.
The drilling programme represents a significant step in Newcore’s efforts to move Enchi closer to its longer-term development objectives.
Newcore Gold has also granted a broad package of equity incentive awards to employees, consultants, directors and executives.
The awards include stock options, restricted share units and performance share units issued under the company’s long-term incentive plan.
According to the company, the incentives are designed to align the interests of its workforce and management with long-term shareholder value. The structure also seeks to encourage employee retention and keep key personnel focused on achieving important project and corporate milestones.
