Aurum Finds High-Grade Gold in Côte d’Ivoire

KEY POINTS

  • Aurum found 3m at 80.09 g/t gold at Boundiali.
  • BST2 drilling shows potential for a new gold resource.
  • Updated Boundiali resource estimate is due in Q3 2026.

Aurum Resources has reported significant high-grade gold intersections from ongoing drilling at its Boundiali Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire, strengthening expectations that the project could expand beyond its current resource estimate.

The company completed 46 diamond drill holes covering 8,835 metres at the BST1 and BST2 areas of its wholly owned tenement.

The drilling forms part of Aurum’s wider 100,000-metre exploration programme at Boundiali, which currently has an estimated 3.22 million ounces of gold resources.

One of the strongest results came from BST1, where drilling intersected 3 metres grading 80.09 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold from a depth of 66 metres. The interval included 2 metres grading 117.73 g/t.

Other notable BST1 results included 38 metres at 4.20 g/t gold, including 3 metres at 30.52 g/t, and 3.77 metres at 9.62 g/t.

BST2 shows further resource potential

Drilling at BST2, formerly known as Gbemou, also returned high-grade gold results. The prospect lies outside the project’s existing Mineral Resource Estimate and currently has no defined resource.

Results included 3 metres at 27.65 g/t gold from 144 metres, including a 1-metre section grading 78.13 g/t. Another intersection returned 2 metres at 5.10 g/t, including 1 metre at 9.74 g/t.

Aurum said the findings indicate potential for additional resource growth, although more drilling will be required before BST2 can be classified as a mineral resource.

The company said drilling at BST1 has confirmed gold mineralisation outside the existing resource area and extended mineralisation into zones currently classified as Inferred.

Aurum Managing Director Dr Caigen Wang said the results were increasing confidence in the size and potential of the Boundiali gold system.

The company plans to release an updated Mineral Resource Estimate for Boundiali by the end of the third quarter of 2026.

Beyond exploration, Aurum is advancing development work at Boundiali and expects to complete a Definitive Feasibility Study later this year.

The company received environmental approval in May and completed its Pre-Feasibility Study and maiden Ore Reserve in June.

Aurum also had A$54.7 million in cash at the end of June, providing funding for continued exploration, studies and permitting.

Across its projects, the company has combined gold resources of 4.4 million ounces, including 3.22 million ounces at Boundiali and 1.16 million ounces at Napié.
