Probe IMT has officially rebranded as IMT, Integrated Mining Technologies, marking a major new phase in the company’s development as it seeks to strengthen its position as a leading provider of mining productivity and safety solutions across Africa.
Announced on August 11, 2026, the rebrand goes beyond a change in corporate identity.
It reflects the evolution of the business from a technology provider into an integrated solutions partner capable of combining technology, engineering, people, data and operational expertise to address increasingly complex challenges in the mining industry.
Under its new brand promise, “Turning Complexity into Certainty,” IMT says it will focus on helping mining companies improve safety, raise productivity and manage operational complexity through integrated, technology-driven solutions.
African mining companies are operating in an environment where expectations around productivity, safety, sustainability, regulation and technological innovation continue to rise.
While new technologies are becoming increasingly available, IMT argues that technology alone cannot solve the industry’s challenges. Successful implementation requires the integration of engineering expertise, skilled personnel, operational systems, data and disciplined project execution.
The company has therefore positioned itself around the integration of these different elements rather than simply supplying individual mining technologies.
Its portfolio includes collision prevention systems, fleet safety technologies, intelligent monitoring, mining communications, auto-electrical solutions, engineering services, lighting and technical field support.
These services are delivered through partnerships with leading international mining technology providers, alongside IMT’s own engineering and project-delivery capabilities.
Leadership Focuses on Integration
IMT Chief Executive Officer Gert Roselt said the company’s competitive advantage lies in bringing different capabilities together to produce practical solutions for mining operators.
According to Roselt, mining companies should be able to focus on their core operations while IMT helps simplify the technological and operational challenges surrounding them.
He described the new brand promise as more than a marketing slogan, saying it represents the way the company intends to work with customers and deliver measurable operational value.
The rebrand comes alongside a significant change in IMT’s ownership structure.
South African private equity firms AIH Capital, Kleoss Capital and Ditiro Capital have invested in the company. The three firms are black-owned, while AIH Capital and Ditiro Capital are also women-led.
They join InspireX Collective, the investment vehicle through which IMT’s senior management holds its stake, as well as the Gert Roselt Family Trust, which retains a significant shareholding.
IMT said the new structure provides a more diversified and empowered shareholder base while strengthening corporate governance and giving the company access to additional strategic expertise and long-term growth capital.
Despite the ownership changes, the existing executive leadership team will remain in place. The company said this will provide continuity in its strategy, customer relationships and operational approach.
The new investors expressed confidence in IMT’s management, operating model and growth prospects.
AIH Capital Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer Jesmane Boggenpoel said the investment reflects confidence in IMT’s reputation, leadership and long-term potential. She also highlighted the role private capital can play in supporting innovation, inclusive ownership, employment and sustainable industrial development.
