In a significant development for local employment and skill development, Gugulethu Colliery has successfully trained and employed 41 youths from the surrounding areas of the Msukaligwa Local Municipality, marking a promising step towards addressing the skills gap in the mining sector. To date, the mine has made significant strides towards this objective, with 147 individuals gaining permanent employment within the mine’s inaugural year.
